We are currently in search of a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Chief Pilot (PIC) for our Citation XLS+ company jet.

This position provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Directors Air. Directs all flight and aviation activities, including flight operations, personnel management, scheduling, and regulatory compliance. Ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and service while supporting organizational objectives.

 

Education & Experience

  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with appropriate type ratings required
    • Citation XLS+ type rating preferred 
  • Minimum of 2,000 total flight hours required
  • Minimum of 1,500 hours of pilot-in-command experience required
  • Extensive experience in aviation operations and leadership preferred
  • Must maintain current knowledge of federal and local aviation regulations

Supervisor Responsibilities
  • Oversees and directs pilots, flight crew, and aviation support personnel
  • Leads recruitment, selection, training, and performance management of flight staff
  • Provides coaching, feedback, and corrective action as needed
  • Ensures crew qualifications, certifications, and regulatory compliance are maintained

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Communicate and reinforce the mission and vision of DIG and its subsidiaries.
  • Exemplify DIG core values of love, growth, and community.
  • Direct and oversee all flight operations to ensure the highest levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
  • Supervise and manage the recruitment, selection, and performance of pilots and flight personnel
  • Conduct performance evaluations and implement development or corrective actions as needed
  • Develop and manage efficient and cost-effective flight schedules to support executive and client travel
  • Coordinate aircraft scheduling with maintenance requirements to ensure operational readiness
  • Monitor aircraft usage and maintenance schedules to ensure timely inspections and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Communicate itinerary updates and operational changes to crew, passengers, and relevant personnel
  • Perform Captain duties as required to support operational needs
  • Oversee fuel procurement, landing fees, and operational cost management
  • Review and approve aviation-related invoices in coordination with Accounting
  • Monitor crew qualifications, certifications, and currency requirements
  • Support evaluation and implementation of aircraft modifications and improvements
  • Serve in the capacity of Director of Flight Operations as needed
